Whistler is like no other ski resort and this website is like no other website! Jason and I (Lisa) have personally tried and tested every single activity, restaurant and experience that is on here.

As long time travelers, we have come to appreciate the voice of one who can ACTUALLY say they have 'done it' rather than a sales pitch or advertisement to persuade our decision.

We believe that this is one place that needed a more personal approach. So, we have alleviated the aspect of guessing and have offered you a more precise and detailed explanation of what you can expect from Whistler and also how your experience can be maximised.

So, strap on your snowboard and get ready for the ride.

Whistler Blackcomb is undoubtedly an experience in itself, whether you are here for 4 days or 4 months. We have personally lived in Whistler for a winter season and loved it...

And you will too!

How can you not? You have access to the biggest amount of boarding terrain in North America. You can snowboard over 8000 acres (that's over 3000 hectares).

But not only have we snowboarded on the trails.

We have ridden some of the best terrain parks, cruised through the trees and found some untouched territory that is just bliss.

But we can't enjoy boarding on air until we snap a few shots...

This place is the ultimate. After boarding all day, we enjoy après. Sitting around with our buddies, with each one of us sharing our great experiences of the day.

By night, we devour a tasty meal in the village. And after, hit the pubs and clubs...

...all to wake up and do it again the next day!  

The general ambience is incredible. It offers so much, with enormous terrain, unique pubs and clubs, an abundance of activities to do and a lively village. You can board till your legs drop off or simply enjoy just being in Whistler.

As much as Whistler is a great experience and place to visit, we had a bit of difficulty when we were planning our trip. As we were staying for the season, it meant we had few more concerns to deal with.

Finding long term accommodation and employment were a concern. What we had to organise before we arrived (SIN number). Even though we are here for the season, short term vacationers have similar problems.
